I just got this new card today I uninstalled all my previous drivers and took out the previous card. I then put the new 750 in and I get a black screen so I used my on board graphics to go online and update bios and look for new driver software for my graphics card and nothing works! I cannot get it to work please help!!!!!

I don't believe the 750Ti requires a connection from the PSU. It gets all its power directly from the motherboard. It does however come with a recommendation that you have a 400W psu.

What make/model is your PSU? Is it possible it's not enough to power this new GPU?

Nope. If it has a spot for a PCI-e connector then it needs it. Some models do, and some don't. The reference models don't according to here. But leave that in. What is the make/model of your PSU?

That should be plenty to power a system with a 750Ti. I'm asking because the symptoms you describe point to a faulty GPU or PSU. If you wiped the old drivers clean, and updated your bios then something is up. Are you able to test that 750Ti in another system? I know most people don't happen to have an extra system lying around, but if you do that would help rule the dead GPU out. If the GPU is fine, then it's possible that your PSU isn't putting out the stated watts, or it has really low amps on the +12v rail. If you look at the sticker on the side of the PSU, it should tell us it's make/model.

Hmm. That PSU should have enough amps as well. The 750Ti isn't that demanding. What about kapitalistas question? I didn't think of that.

There are several OEM systems(hP amondst them) that have problems with some of the newer cards like the 750Ti. Check HPs website to see if there is a bios update available.

I ended up taking it to be looked at before I messed anything else up....and well somehow my original 9800GT got fried? How idk all I did was take it out of the system. And the 750ti was way too big and would not work in the slot or something because its and older system and its not very customizable so it has 0 space for the card, although I was able to get it in there the guy said it was smashing some cord and that was probably what caused it to not work?

I have since decided the system I have been building/looking at for months I might as well invest in now that I now my system now is not going to work with newer games and newer systems? But I want to thank all of you for the help and support it kept me sane last night when I was about to just throw my entire computer into the dumpster lol!
