So i have the gigabyte 970AD-S3 and ive notices 2 pci express 16x 2.o expansion slots. Though ive always ran my graphics card in the pci express at 16x slot i tried the 4x slot today but didnt notice any change with fps in any game i play whatsoever..but there was a dramatic temperature drop. I use the MSI GTX 670 OC(stock cooler) and it used to be like 77C on full load earlier on the 16x slot..but its like 50-60C on the 4x slot. Even though the slot is a x16 modle but what doeas the 4x imply? is it any harm if i continue to run the 670 on the 4x slot?
