Computer randomly freezing with no BSOD or Event logs.

Recently my computer has started to randomly freeze, usually when I am browsing the web. When it freezes the screen hangs and all sound stops and I never get a BSOD so I have to hold down the power button to reboot. There are no events in event viewer besides unexpected shutdown and I have already tried re installing Win 8 64 bit. The freezes normally happen later in the day after the computer has been running for around 7-10 hours.

This could sound like RAM issues..

Click the Windows 'start' button (used to be a start button anyhow) and type "memory" in the run/search box and run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool. Choose 'Restart now...' or 'Check for problems...' as appropriate and let it run the check against your memory. It will display the results when windows next loads (pending any lockups).
