Hi there! I am planning on build myself my first gaming PC in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if i could get some advice/feedback on the current build I have.

CPU - AMD FX-8350 4.0GHz
MOBO - Asus M5A97 R2.0
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3
GFX - AMD R280x 3GB

HDD - Seagate ST2000VX000 2TB SATA III
SSD - Sandisk Ultra Plus SSD 128GB

PSU - Powercool X-Viper 750W

My budget was £600 and have managed to keep to it pretty well, I am planning on buying an additional GFX card a month or 2 down the road and CrossFire them? Any thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance! :D

I'd suggest you to get either Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 or if you want even more expensive but very nice ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ motherboard

Asus M5A97 R2.0 - is not so good for overclocking, if you really want to go with M5A97 then go with EVO version.

As of the PSU maybe this is is cheaper and it is very good

I wouldn't do crossfire, I'd rather sell 280x when the time comes and buy newer single GPU

They will be released on March or after in 2015... I think it's not worth the wait since he can enjoy more than 6 months playing with 280x by then :)

That one is much more expensive, OP is on budget, XFX has same OEM as seasonic but seasonic is ofcourse best psu brand there is, XFX is right after them so he will be fine with XFX and get better mobo instead :D

The cards that will MAYBE be released then will be 28nm chips.. the ones that should be released on march 2015 will be 20nm chips... I think that 28nm are not worth because they won't have much better performance over the exiting ones so..

Still sticking to my date.. I don't consider 28nm chip as a new GPU from nvidia, will not be bang for the buck for sure :)

You think? Like the similar new architecture on the 750ti? That same performance for cheaper? Like the Tonga GPU? Same price, more performance? They won't have much extra performance? Because Maxwell is going to be using the same resources, but be far better at utilizing it?
