So my gaming pc is 9 months old, and it's working like a charm!
But i can't seem to install any driver from nvidia!
Currently i'm running 340.52, and geforce experience, but everytime i try to update experience, it fails.
Today i tried uninstalling drivers and rolling back to 337.88
But no matter which driver i try to install i get the same message everytime..
It says: NVIDIA installer failed, and nothing gets installed?
It's driving me crazy, and i only see reinstalling windows as an option?
I can't roll back or update my drivers, which means i can't play Dead Rising 3 (Yeah, i know it's a horrible port) But rolling back drivers seems to work for people!
And also, my USB ports are acting weird: My mouse and keyboard work perfectly in the ports they're in now, but if i move them to another usb slot, nothing happens?
Shouldn't i be able to move my peripherals around?
My mouse should work instantly in every usb slot, right?
Also, i cannot upgrade to Windows 8.1 (everytime it shows me an error and goes back to just 8!?)
Something is obviously wrong, but can i fix all this without reinstalling windows?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Regards, Philip
Ohh, and my specs:
i5-4570
GTX 770 2 GB
8 GB RAM
Windows 8 64-bit
2 TB SATA6 HDD

Solution
Hi Phillip,

Upgrading to 8.1 is a pain, I did it for my dad a few weeks back and it was a case of reinstalling windows 8, then upgrading again (however, use google to see what else you can try). I eventually got it to work with simply repetitive attempts, one just happened to work. Once you're on 8.1, everything should work just fine.

I reinstalled windows 8, and updated to 8.1!
All my problems are gone - i recommend doing this if you're facing several problems!
Just be sure to back up what you don't want to lose :)
