Hi guys! I am going to be doing a few upgrades to my current PC and would like you all to give me a few recommendations on which components I should buy. I don't want to spend alot of money. This is a pre-built Packard Bell PC that I bought 3 years ago. I was going to build my own PC from scratch but I don't have the money atm so I just want to do a few upgrades to my current one.

Here is a list of my current components;

Motherboard: G41T-AM LGA 775
RAM: 2GB GDDR3 1333MHz (x2)
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.5GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE GT320
PSU: Not sure what brand but its 250W

You have 775 LGA mobo. You can't really upgrade much.

Firstly I would suggest you to get money to buy new PSU (650 or 750w)

after that new mobo/cpu (suggest AMD if on budget) and RAM ofc

When you have money new GPU

Example build:

Thanks for the quick reply! If I was to buy the MB, CPU and PSU you recommended first, would my current RAM and GPU be compatible with it while I get the money together to buy the rest of the components?

Yes they would be compatible. RAM is 1333MHz that's ok and GPU will work for sure

With the new CPU/mobo I have suggested you, you will be fine for the next 5-6 years without needing to upgrade.

Almost everything but the ram and hard drive needs to go.

How much scratch are you looking at spending?

I think he's settled , you're a little bit late. Originally I asked the same question and never got an answer.
