My brother's home took a lightning strike. Needless to say several things went to crap. I built his computer so I know before the strike, all parts were perfect. After the strike the power supply turns on, as well as all fans and everything "looks" normal, but no video will display. Monitor turns on, shows Asus splash screen, but receives no signal from computer. Upon further testing, it appears monitor is actually bad. New monitor, no change. Test new video card, no change. Test new power supply, no change. Test new motherboard, no change. Obviously, I am down to RAM, and CPU. Any suggestions regarding what I should do before spending a ton of money?

I put in an entirely new from box PSU and MOBO, so I didn't test the output directly. I'm assuming it may be the CPU but unknown on how to check, or just get a new one. AMD FX 8 Core, unknown which one exactly.
