Hi All,

I've been blue screening since I built this computer in December of last year with a friend of mine, we spent a total of 15 hours before we could get it to work, we ran into numerous problems as you can imagine seeing as it took 15 hours.I'm pretty sure I've got all the drivers up to date, no windows updates. He said that all the parts are compatible however I was wondering if I could get your guys' opinion on it since if I'm not mistaken, this could be causing my bluescreens.

All my computer parts:

For my blue screens, over the past week or so I've installed Windows 8.1 onto my computer and since then my blue screens have been occurring maybe 3-4 times a day and other times 1-3 or sometimes I won't encounter a blue screen at all. I've also been getting unexpected shutdowns for a while now. I've tested my RAM with Memtest86 and there was no errors found. I haven't tested any of my others parts. I did notice that my Disk tab in Task Manager shot up to 100% and as it was slowly coming down my computer immediately blue screened afterwards. My friends tell me this is due to my hard drive but I'm not too knowledgeable on computers. I've also come to see that when I turn on my computer or it reboots from a blue screen when it first comes on if I try to open Google chrome it will also shoot up to 100% in the Disk tab. Another time when it happened there was something running called Service Host: Local System which made it shoot up to 100% basically instantly.

Here's a screenshot of a time it happened: http://screencast.com/t/zoKpgiLQorL

Also I'm not sure if this will have to do with anything regarding bluescreens but would be good if I got some information on why my 45$ Wireless Adaptor will only give me 4 bars or sometimes 3 even if I'm a short distance away from the Modem.

This is for Kernel-Power 41 (63) and the rest of my Event Viewer: http://screencast.com/t/LYCTpYdE

I double-clicked on the event (Kernel-Power 41) under the general tab it says this: The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly.

And under the details tab it says this:

Any help will be greatly appreciated, if you need anymore information on any of these subjects I'll do my best to find out.

Thanks in advance :)

All that indicates is that there's something wrong with hardware and/or software. Pretty helpful NOT!!

Start with hardware - download HWInfo and run Sensors. Post the results - usually 3 screnshots in TinyPic or similar.
Install the UEFI that came with the disk with your motherboard to get more detail.

Run Checkdisk and a Virus scan eg Avast and Malwarebytes on you hard drive

Download and run memtest86 on your ram

Checkdisk can be done by Windows Explorer, R click on Drive. Go to Properties, use Check Now with repair. Or use Checkdisk /r in cmd.

Your hardware looks OK except I didn't get power supply voltage readings - happens with amd mobos.
Form your uefi, get and post readings for 12v, 5v and 3.3V PSU rail voltages.

OK - Checkdisk was clean. Virus scan?

Your mobo -http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Pro3%20R2.0/ - should come with"Graphical UEFI – The Revolutionary BIOS Interface" and "UEFI System Browser" - install them and use them - post readings for 12v, 5v and 3.3V PSU rail voltages.

Software - Gp thru Control Panel, Device Manager and check all your devices are working properly and have their latest drivers.

Boot into Safe Mode (F8) - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-au/windows/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode#1TC=windows-7

Try a Computer Repair

If that doesn't work, Try a Restore to last known good condition.

If that doesn't work, remove your hard drive and check that the PC will start and POST (Power On Self Test) into the bios screen.

Virus scan is still going, with my recent use of malwarebytes it usually takes a while for me. I selected Custom Scan, ticked the box next to C: and ticked all of the boxes on the left of it.

Which means I won't be able to check in my UEFI, if I'm not mistaken you access it when you first turn start up your computer correct?

Since I built this computer a year ago I don't have any of the disks anymore unfortunately.

I did a system restore earlier today because after a bluescreen once I loaded past the windows 8 loading thing it black screened and my cursor would randomly appear as well. (Forgot to mention this in my first post)
