I am building a PC for a first time and I got mATX board with a big cpu cooler and high profile RAM.

The problem that I can't face cpu cooler to ram, because it's blocking it. I can, however, face it to any other side.

My case is Node 804 with 3 case fans (by default 2 rear exhaust and 1 front intake, but I could switch them as there are plenty of slots for coolers).

I guess decent options are:
1) to switch case intake and exhaust fans
2) to face cooler fan to gpu
3) switch cooler side to do "pull" instead of "push" through the heatsink

I would like to get a recommendation on how should I proceed, preferably without returning any parts. Thanks!

What make and model cooler? Motherboard? CPU?

What cpu cooler you have?

you can switch intake and exhaust fans, I think that would be the best option

If that helps, then do it. Can you face the fan so it blows back or up? You might have to flip it over.

Yeah I can face it to any side except front. So the options are:
1) top, which would push air to gpu to the bottom
1.1) top, which would pull air to top
2) bottom (facing gpu) push air to the top which I believe is better than 1)
3) back, which would require me to switch airflow from back to front (PSU fan would still exhaust back, can't change that)
3.1) back, which would pull air instead of pushing (keeping original case fan installation)

If it'll fit without hitting the GPU, do 2)

It will fit blocking 1 pcie slot which I don't need, so that's ok.

Pushing the air up, do I need to put 1 exhaust fan on top of the case or will the rear fan do the job?

The rear one will be fine.
