Hi there everyone, I just picked up an R9 270x and I'm wondering if I should plug in both supplemental power cords?

Currently I just have 1 of the 75watt 6 pin cords plugged in directly from the power supply.

I ask because the box and manuals seem to give conflicting answers stating you need either 1, 2, or 4 (4 is only for cross fire, I know that much)

The card came with two 6 pin 75watt cords that connect to the plugs that would normally power disk drives and hard drives.

My power supply, a coolmaster 600b has 3 rails for powering the pc:

The "main" rail which connects to the motherboard and all the disk drives and what not.

and two "accessory" rails one of which is supposedly rated specifically for graphics cards.

I've yet to power the pc on, but I was wondering if I should plug in the second 75watt 6 pin connector, which would basically be drawing from the main rail

Looking around, the card doesn't seem to draw more than 150 watts according to some benchmarks, meaning that with the mobo's 75 and the 75 from the power supply I think I might be fine, but I'd love to hear a second opinion, as I don't have a ton of experience messing with mid to high end graphics cards.

Additionally, I'm probably not going to be trying to overclock the card so if that's a primary factor for why they might recommend having 225 watts available to the card then I think I might be fine.

TL;DR:

New power card seems to want both supplemental power cords plugged in, I've plugged in one, but I'm not sure if it's necessary to plug in both.

Thanks in advance!
