I want to Crossfire x a XFX R7770 1gb ddr5 core edition with ASUS HD7770-DC-1GD5 on a Asrock B85 Pro 4 Lga 1150 Motherboard.
I know my mother board only has Pci Express 3.0 x16 and Pci Express 2.0 x16 Runs at x4
But before I buy my MSI z97 Gaming 7 mother board I want to seee the difference in perfomance crossfiring. Any thoughts and is it possible ?

Intel i7 3.5ghz
Asrock b85 Pro 4
8gb of ram
Cooler Master HAF XB Evo
Cooler Master Seidon
SSD samsung 840

it's possible but not worth it... instead of getting the second card + new motherboard it's cheaper to just get a better graphics card (for example a r9 285)

crossfire gets you about 50-75% performance increase at the cost of microstuttering and only works in supported titles. it's recommended only for higher end cards not the midrange 7770
