No SOUND IN WINDOWS 7

i am a regular user of my pc and usually play games with a earphone plugged in . but today when i plugged off the earphone to hear some music from the default speaker(realtek , no other speaker)
there was no sound not even system sounds were present. but the earphone works correctly.
yesterday there was no such problems. please help ASAP.

Have u checked that you have the latest driver for it?.

yes the windows says its updated one . also there is no green bars are visible in sound mixer even if i can hear it in earphone.

It might be your speaker is faulty OR the Audio Input is broken. Try the same audio Input with different speaker
