Hi guys, im a guy that dont know that much about motherboards and need your guys help!

I was thinking about a MSI 970a-g46 because im not going to do extreme OC but im just going to tweak my cpu a little :)

Right now my system is:

Amd fx-4100
Msi 760gm-e51
Asus GTX560ti
Silverpower 500w psu
corsair h55 cpu cooler
corsair spec-01 case
corsair vengeance 8gb 1600mhz ram (1dimm)

And i would really like to buy a new motherboard with space to upgrade to sli or crossfire (means that the board needs to be able to do both sli and cfx.

My budget is $110, thanks! :D  (sry for bad english)

Motherboard: ASRock 990FX Extreme3 ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard ($99.99 @ Newegg)

^SLI and CFable, newer tech to fully support FX x3xx (w/o BIOS update), and a very good OCer. Avoid MSI for AMD MoBos.
PS: 500W won't be enough for 660 Ti SLI.

ASROCK, ASUS and GIGABYTE makes the best AMD boards, MSI has put down its repo due to crap AMD MoBos. ASROCK is one of the finest board makers out there, would be a very wise choice to go :)

If its in your budget, go with it, its A LOT better than MSI's. there's no problem in going with a good MoBo, will help in future upgrades to FX 6 or 8 :)

If you plan to upgrade to FX 6300 or 8320/50 soon, then 990FX MoBo will be the recommended choice (its specifically designed to contain Piledriver, but supports your CPU as well). If you'll likely shift to Intel after this MoBo (and GPU) upgrade, 970 will do the needful.

Firstly, you'd need to upgrade your PSU to get another GPU.
Secondly, your current MoBo can support FX 6300, you should go for it.
Thirdly, you can upgrade Mobo later to what I mentioned (990FX).
Lastly, Your GPU right now is good enough for high-ultra gaming.
IMO, Upgrade CPU then MoBo then GPU (900 series is coming out soon you might just get a good one under the budget when time comes).

but why do i always get told that a 500w psu is just perfect for single gpu gaming?

Yes its good for single GPU, not for SLI. Also, it isn't the best to go with (its not enough) if the GPU is something like 280X.

Okay... then i will just upgrade my cpu and then upgrade gpu and then mobo if im planning on sli or cfx :D
