Having a problem updating my motherboards bios

I have a GA-990FXA-UD3, and every time I try to download the boards bios it says two error messages.The first one being "The program or feature "\??\C:\User\My Computer\AppData\local\Temp\7zOD47E.tmp\Efifilash" cannot start or run due to incompatibity with 64- bit versions of windows.Please contact the software vendor to ask if a 64-bit windows compatible version is available." and then right after the second error says "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an 86x(32 -bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program, and then contract the software publisher." I have windows 64 bit and I've been having a lot problems downloading the newest update to my BIOs.

Is there a reason for updating the bios? Just because there's a newer bios doesn't necessarily mean you update it.

There is probably a version of the bios you can run from a USB stick in dos, or from start-up(without windows)

The reason I need to update it is because I'm having problems with my processor.

Hello... some BIO's must be installed/Flashed from a BOTABLE USB stick and some can be flashed from within Windows with the proper APP... Check to verify which version your trying to install and the proper install method needed.
