Not sure if you asked the right question becuse all US computers use 115V AC.

Maybe you are looking for howmany Watts you need. In that case I would say you could get away with 600-800 Watt PSU depending on if you have over clocked your CPU or GPU.

I still stand by my post. With the setup you have I would not go any less than 600 Watts unless you have an 80+ Gold or better PSU.

As for you CPU over heating, Ivy Bridge CPUs tend to get hot and I have had friends who had the same problems with their stock coolers. I would look into an after market heat sink.

So my problem is my heat sink or my psu?

I have a corsair vs550w atm

I'd get the cooler first as suggested, 600 is way overkill for your CPU and a 7870, all you really need is a decent 500 w/ about 23 AMPs on the 12 volt rail...the VS550 isn't among the better PSUs, but has more than enough power for your GPU (even OCed) as well as higher end CPU OCed, and a few other add-ons

So I just need the cooler? Or I really need to buy a new and more powerfull psu if I intend to play games that demand high requirements
