I have a laptop with a keyboard issue.
Using windows 8. When getting the to windows login screen the "M" key works like the enter key and the "-" and "space" key only apply spaces. all other keys do Nothing.

I can reboot the computer and it might work correctly. more often than not it has the symptoms above.

I tried safe mode once and I get the above symptoms.
Was working fine one day, set the laptop on the table came back to it and this is what happened. Nobody else touched it in between that time. never been dropped.

I was able to get the onscreen keyboard to come up and it has the exact same issues.
F11 works on boot up to access safe mode.
