The panel's probably loose, or the fan might be loose. Could also be dust in the fan.

Yes, and if that doesn't help, see if there's a gap between the side panel and the other walls of the case. If there are, try plugging the gap with some paper. It could be the side panel vibrating against the other walls when the fan spins up.

Also, the next time the noise comes up, tilt the case over to a side and see if the noise stops. If there's something caught in the fan blades, tilting the case could get it out.

If the noise is audible only when your PC is under load, it could be that one of the fans is loosely attached, and when it speeds up it causes the whole cabinet to vibrate with it.

Whether you should have the side panel fan on intake or exhaust depends on the air flow inside your cabinet. Fans towards the top of the cabinet usually blow air out of the cabinet (hot air rises by convection).

i did tighten every fan screw and even cable tided cables together so the don`t hang loose.you can barely hear the noise for some people it will be fine but doesn't bother me want to know what causes it.the power supply is bottom mounted and the exhaust fan is right behind the cpu heat sink cooler the side panel fan sit in the middle over the mobo, gpu.cpu and top of power supply,i do not have a front fan or top fan,so should it blow in or out?only fan blowing air in is the cpu heat sink fan,you think it should be better siiting on my tile floor or computer desk?the gpu also sucks out hot air at the back
