Hey!

okay, i have had this laptop for over a year now and i have had this problem for ages! The computer will turn on, i will be on it fine no problems then BAM the BSOD will pop up annoyingly and weirdly the error doesnt say much all it says it,'Your computer is having to restart to collect some errors: kernal inpage data error' then it will say,'If you want to find out more go online and search for: kernal inpage data error.'

At first i decided to put up with it but now it has started to annoy me, it was probably a bad thing ignoring it but i DON'T want to send my laptop away to someone to fix it for me. My laptop is a windows 8, compaq CQ58 and unfortunately that is all i can tell you about it because i'm not really a computer/laptop nerd... but i wish i was.

If you need any more information/you know how to fix it/help me out please do say ill be very grateful!

p.s- i have also had other BSOF like critical process died and memory management, i know they sound bad but i only get them every so often :/ AND on top of that i have a microsoft issue which is, when my laptop restarted from the BSOF- kernal inpage data error my microsoft had some how unistalled i can assure you i did not uninstall it or delete it by accident! but with me coming up to GCSE's, desperately need help! I have ask other people like; computer person at my school, my dad and my older brother and i have had no luck so it is down to you lot! I hope you can help me and ill i can say is good luck!

Solution

This particular BSoD is caused by buggy drivers. The only way to resolve it is to find the buggy driver and update it to a newer revision.
