Hello!
Im not quite sure which cpu to choose between the fx-6300 and fx-8320 for my gaming rig.
My options are:
1) FX-6300 + aftermarket cooler (overclock up to 4 ghz)
2) FX-8320 with stock cooler and no overclock
The motherboard is an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 (socket am3+) and the PSU a 500W by OCZ. The GPU is a Sapphire HD 7770 Vapor-x GHZ edition.

Thanks in advance

Look like you really want to overclock. For a good overclock you really need a good motherboard. you cant avoid that.

This is another good option:

Ok, thanks! What would you suggest me in that price range?

I will second, this motherboard does not have a VRM heat sync and will not support even a moderate overclock, and if you do overclock the 6300 i would not take it over 4ghz. If i were you i would invest into a 990fx chipset motherboard ASAP.

The Gigabyte 970a-ud3p would be my pick if sticking with AMD. Honestly though, I would probably go with something like this. You would get far better performance, for a similar price.

The 970a-ud3p will overclock pretty much the same as a 990fx-ud3. They have the same 8+2 phase power. ;)

Yeah I understand you but the problem is i dont have enough money for the 990fx unfortunately :( So i'm sticking with the 970a-ud3p as i read very positive reviews about it.
I have another question now, considering that my case won't fit a Hyper 212 EVO, what aftermarket cooler would you suggest me? (TX3 Evo, Xigmatek Loki SD963 this are some options i think are acceptable)

its only 10 buck more than the Gigabyte board.

Xigmatek Loki SD963 is a very good option for a 95 Watts TDP CPU.

Thank you very much!
My budget is 200-230 euros and i need:
1) Motherboard
2) CPU
3) Aftermarket Cooler (if i need to overclock my cpu)

Please, for prices refer to: www.amazon.it

Personally I would choose AMD!

Thank you very much! Perfect combo..but the only thing im not sure is that MoBo, first because i plan on buying another 7770 and use both cards (sorry for not mentioning it before, my fault), secondly i have 3 DIMMs and with that board i cant use one (im stuck with 6 gigs) and it seams very "cheap" build (maybe i'm wrong). For the CPU its a beast!
So I'm giving my solution and you can give me a pros and cons :)

-I intend using a ATX Motherboard, one between these:
1)M5A97 LE R2.0
2)970 Extreme3
3)GA-970A-DS3P (which one is the best and the worst in your opinion?)

-CPU: FX 6300 + Xigmatek Loki SD963 (212 Evo doesn't fit my case) and overclock to a max of 4 ghz

Sorry for taking your time and thanks for your advices! :D

Hmm okk!! thank you very much!! :D

Sure! Good luck mate :D

PS:

If you decide go AMD anyway and still want to overclock you should get GA-970A-UD3P/GA-970A-UD3 or a no-LE Asus M5A97 R2.0 or any 990fx. Or this new MSI 970 Gaming.

That been said, If you have to go M5A97 LE R2.0 or 970 Extreme3 or GA-970A-DS3P then Asrock 970 Extreme3 has a heatsinked digital pwm at least.

The Asus M5A97 R2.0 is another viable option at that price range
