im going to build my first computer soon :D

but i have a question should i get an msata ssd or a regular ssd?. (the motherboard is a MSI Z97-G45 GAMING)

will it be a difference in speed or durability? im thinking of buying the

Samsung mSATA 840 EVO 120GB or the Intel 520 Series 120GB

Solution
Get a regular SATA SSD. Booting from an MSATA drive can be problematic on some systems or requires additional preparatory work to make Windows Setup recognise it. Installing Windows on an MSATA drive may be plain sailing for you, but don't take it for granted.
Buy a SATA SSD for Windows and use MSATA for a storage drive.

I've used both for storage and for boot and have never had any problems, but if you're building a desktop an mSATA will incur extra cost with no real benefit, since there's not usually any problem finding space for a regular SSD.

If what you are actually talking about is an M.2 SATA (Next Generation Form Factor, or NGFF), then there is a difference. The M.2 uses the SATA 3.2 protocol which supports 10 Gbits/s. They can be quite pricey though.
