I installed a new ssd on my desktop since my old hd wasn't working and got windows 8 to install on it but every time I try, after it starts initializing files I get a critical structure corruption error and it restarts. I've been looking around but have only found solutions for those who had the os already on the computer, not on a clean install. Any help is appreciated!

I have an Asus M4a79xtd evo mobo and the SSD is a corsair force 120GB.

Ok I tried out CrystalDiskInfo and it said both drives are good, what specifically should I look for? Also, how do I attach a picture so I can show what the blue screen looks like when running my old hard drive?

Unfortunately, this forum doesn't support image uploading. You can alternatively upload your screenshots to some image hosting sites and link it to your post here.

BTW, will the blue screen occur when both drives are connected to your PC or just the SSD?

The critical structure corruption error came up when I was installing the new windows 8 with just the ssd installed. I just played with some settings recently though and it made it all the way through the install then crashed during the first restart and gave me a pool_corruption_in_file_area. Would that be ram? I may have been misdiagnosing the whole time.
