I googled Up about R295X2 for 3D modelling and Rendering...I couln't find a single thread or discussion at all.... I goggled it so much yet no use at all..... I am so curious why is that?
People say R295X2 beats the shit out of Titan Z and yes I seen the results with New 4K monitors and yes its true, it does win against Nvidia.(I am a nvidia user past 6yrs)

I know R295X2 has bad TDP and Eats lot of power but Wat About its Rendering and 3D work? Not a single Dev out there to spread and say the result of their experiences? I mean you probably herd something right?
I askedon this forum about "if I can purchase GTX titan for gaming+ Rendering" - Maximum people on toms hardware said yes....But I am very curious about the R295X2 not being mentioned at all in for rendering part?
I searched youtube,tomshardware,google,anandtech,overclockersnet....not a single thread about it...I just want to know if R295X2 is good in rendering or not? is it never mentioned cause its bad it rendering?

PS: I be buying the GTX titan Black, as people said its good both for rendering and gaming.....I got more curious about the R295X2 cause its lower price and more performance...but my motive stands both for render and gaming so I hope I am choosing the right path.

Solution
That is because, most 3D Modelling softwares (Maya/ ZBrush/ Substance Painter/ 3Ds Max/ etc) prefer CUDA cores over any other cores in GPU acceleration, Titan (Black) is not only powerful, but really fast too. It has the right blend of favour, performance, price and power. Not so long ago 295X2 was $1.5k, it just got a cut off.
I'm personally not aware of its performance on Anime or CGI softwares but can tell Titan is best at what it does, only Quadro K5200 or K6000 will defeat it in rendering :)
Try searching for 290X crossfire as it was cheaper to get than the 295X but same/similar performance. The 295X is mainly for those without the room for running 2 full cards.

The lack of info is because it's mainly a gaming card, however, AMD has stronger compute performance on their gaming cards than nVidia. Also of note is that if your software uses Cuda, nVidia is required, but AMD is stronger for OpenCL.

What rendering software are you running?

I hope thats true...well that is the main reason for me going for the titan....I don't know any results with R295x2 with the rendering I use both 3D(Max,maya,zbrush) and 2D(Anime studio and Toon Boom)......well I hope I gain the best performance by going with the Titan Black.

Well then I guess R295X2 is only lowering its price cause its more for gaming than rendering? just a question which i am still at it for some reason of curiosity!

For those types of professional applications (Maya, Z-Brush, Solidworks, etc...) the R9 295X2 won't be any better than an R9 290X, and both will be much worse than almost any Quadro card or a Firepro card. The game versions of video cards have drivers that cripple them for 3D applications like Maya. Those programs need high pixel precision, and hardware anti-aliasing, and overlays, in a way that is not possible using video game cards and drivers.

For instance, the Maya PaintEffects Brush, or Sculpting brush uses overlays, and will work fine on a Quadro card, but with an Nvidia GTX card it will not draw the stroke correctly as you paint, you will end up with a smear of red from the brush all over the screen that won't go away.

hmm...you are right....but I want the gtx titan for one reason cause I can then do both Rendering and Gaming

For GPU render, Titan is faster, for gaming, Titan is faster (Quadros are shit at it anyways), for realtime dual percision and viewpoint, Quadro is better.

Actually, GTX has very good capabilities, but they're limited by Gaming-centric drivers, about 1/4th to 1/8th of Quadro/ Firepro cards. A good comparision:

Quadros also have arguably faster RAMDACs and better channels for display. these factors affect the outcome a lot in terms of viewpoints, not rendering.

Good discussions:

well so far I could say wat people are sayin is Nvidia GTX TItan is a good card for maya and other 3d Rendering....but it is not the best....Quadro wins that part....well I guess I can live with that as I need for both of my purposes.
