Hi, In the near future I may be upgrading my computer case to better increase airflow, fit an aftermarket CPU cooler and improve cable management (because having cables everywhere is just messy). Anyways, I was going to go with the fractal design define r4 and the Hyper 212 evo, so should my CPU cooler fan be facing towards the back exhaust fans or the top ones? thanks.

More about : direction cpu fan facing

as heat rises, it's quite good to have them facing upwards, but if you use push/pull, the gpu will probably block bottom fan, so exhaust to the back has the highest compabillity. it's really a personal choice, my Be Quiet! Shadow Rock 2 has the fan blowing to the exhaust. if one possition does'nt fit, dont worry just mount it in another position. as it DOENT matter :D

Thank you! but I don't quite understand the gpu blocking the bottom fan. Could you elaborate a bit more for me? Sorry.

it all depends on the mounting bracket as to which way the fan will point. I believe the hyper 212 fans will point to the back of the case on an intel system, not sure on amd.

All right, I'll just see how it goes when I get them, thanks for your help.

when it's possitioned horizantaly the fan lower fan will maybe come into cantact with your gpu.
top fan -------> ----
cpu cooler --> [ ]
bottom fan -> __----__
