Yesterday I purchased an ethernet cable so I could access the internet in my apartment. It was working perfectly fine until I decided to try and make my laptop into a wireless hotspot so I could access the internet on my phone also. So I went through the necessary steps of turning your computer into a hotspot and after I had done this my computer said I no longer had an internet connection. Now it isn't detecting the ethernet cable. I bought a new cable and it still couldn't detect it. Today I brought it into my local computer shop thinking that maybe it was a hardware issue, but when they plugged in their ethernet cable it worked fine! It seems that for some reason it can't detect it in my apartment block as I tried plugging it in in my friends room and it wasn't detected there either! Can someone please help ive tried everything i've even restored my settings so that the changes I made creating the hotspot should be restored to normal, I'm really lost to what it could be!
