Hello all,

My proposed build is nearing the buying stage, I have a budget of £800. I will be hoping to upgrade the 750 ti to a faster video card later on, hence the larger PSU. The PC will mostly be for uni work and light gaming, please comment your improvements or opinions!

Thanks, squizzer

Ps. Thoughts on desktop vs laptop at uni?

looks good, I would just suggest getting more RAM, try an 8GB duel channel kit (4GBx2)
having two sticks will enable duel channel mode and double the speed. having a single 4GB stick is locking you into single channel mode,

Thanks dhff

Would I be able to simply add another 4gb stick later on or does it have to be part of a dual kit?

Thanks

you *can* add another stick and there is good chance it will work but RAM is a bit temperamental. There just also the chanse it may have issues, even if you get the same exact stick.
when you buy them in kits, those chips have endured extra testing to make sure they are 100% compatible.

I don't want to scare you as its not a certainty, actually I have mixed and matched quite a few sets in my days, in fact the rig I have listed in my signature was not purchased as a 32GB set. I bought two 16GB sets more then a year apart, both sets are identical Mfg. and model number however. They all work fine. I am just saying you should be aware of the possibility. since you haven't built it yet. now would be the time to be safe rather then sorry.
