Hello everyone I have a problem with my computer monitor. The monitor is the Asus vg248 monitor. I suspect bad RAM. I have Corsair vengence pro 16gb 2400mhz ram. Can anyone confirm this and walk me through the RAM RMA process?

Seems that whenever I move the mouse or scroll up and down a page the sound happens. When everything is still the sound stops.
When using headphones I dont hear the sound at all. When I remove the sound usb from my monitor the scratching noise stops.

How can you even begin to suspect the RAM??

It's clearly an issue between the USB port on your PC, the USB connector on the screen and the speakers in the monitor. RAM can in no way be responsible for the noise.

Right, so why do you say you have sound USB?

No, it's not, it is probably a 3.5mm audio cable. But you said USB. I didn't.

So now that we both know that USB is not involved., here is my revised 1st answer.

Its just that I read somewhere that ram can cause a funny sound on the monitor. I guess its not credible. Heres an update, I tried to open the "sound" thing after searching in the search bar. It takes like 10 seconds for it to open it shows like 6 AMD high definition sound device that are not plugged in. The other 3 are Realtek high definition sound devices that all seem to be working properly. When I open device manager I can see 3 audio devices AMD , Intel and Realtek. When I hit the properties for the AMD sound device it hangs and seems to not respond for a few seconds. There is a lag when switching around the general, drivers and details tab. I think the AMD drivers have issues now. Thanks for your responses.

i think the AMD one is broken or something because whenever I try to mess with it it it wont respond for a few seconds. The other sound drivers have no problem. Should I disable it or something?
