Hey, So I am building a new PC and want to know which graphics card would be better as an overall. Its between the EVGA 6gb 780 SuperClocked or the EVGA 3gb 780ti SuperClocked. I want to know, is the the extra memory worth it?

More about : 6gb 780 3gb 780ti

That really depends on what resolutions you play at.

If you play at 1440P and beyond then the gtx 780 6GB will be better, because games require so much vram today to play at high settings your gona want the 6GB. If you stick with 3GB then you will get stuttering if your trying to max out games.

If at 1080P then the 780 ti 3GB is fine for everything.

What games do you play? It also varies between game engines.

6gb is only good if you sli, for 1440p the ti is still better than the 6gb

Ti for sure... As legend said the only reason you would consider the 6gb model is if you are SLI'ing... a single gtx 780 won't give you high enough frame rate at the settings that would use over 3gb of vram anyway. (Although even is SLI i'm not sure the GTX 780 has the memory bandwidth to take advantage of much over 3gb of ram anyway)

Good, that's a lot better choice than what I gave you. :)

Have fun with those!
