I'm looking to upgrade my CPU and GPU, below are my computer specs:

Power Supply: 700 Watt generic Power Supply
Motherboard: Asus® P8P67 LE Intel® P67 based chipset, ATX Motherboard
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-2500K processor, quad 3.30GHz cores, overclocked to 4.0GHz
CPU Cooling: Intel® Certified Heatsink/Fan, Thermal Controlled Variable Speed Fan
DDR3 Memory:4GB DDR3-1333 Dual Channel Memory (2 x 2048mb)
GPU : 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 560 Ti, GDDR5, PCI-E 2.0
Hard Drive 1: 1TB 7200rpm 32MB Cache SATA 300 w/NCQ
Hard Drive 2: 128GB SSD for OS
OS: Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit w/ SP1

For GPU, I'm looking at the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 or 770, please advise which is better/I can handle considering my specs.

For CPU, since the MB can only handle 1155 socket, I'm limited to what I can buy. Please advise which CPU I can purchase that's best bang for the buck and is a significant upgrade from my current one.

I would like to spend ~$800

Thanks in advance!

No reason to upgrade the CPU, just upgrade your GPU. I'd wait Till atleast the 19th (people say the GTX 980 is coming out then for $500). Keep your current CPU and Mobo and just spend $500 on the gtx 980... then maybe in a year or two upgrade the CPU... The i5 2500k is still one of the best CPUs for gaming.
Tom's still has it listed as top tier:

Or wait till the GTX 980 release, and get a gtx 780 or 780 Ti for cheaper. Either way your best options is to wait about two weeks.

I probably wouldn't bother with the CPU upgrade since the i5 2500k is still a good CPU. If you wanted to get a new CPU anyways then the best options are the i5 3570k or the i7 3770k but it wouldn't be enough of a boost to be worth it IMO. FYI I have a i5 3330 with an gtx 760 and there are no problems or bottlenecks at all.

For the GPU, grab the gtx 770 or a R9 280x to play most games at max settings.

Get a decent PSU first, mate, generic units have a nasty habit of taking other parts with them when they blow, and they're MUCH more likely to blow than a quality unit.
As with the others, I'll suggest you stick with the current CPU, upgrade to 8Gb of memory and hold off on a GPU upgrade until Nvidia releases its new Maxwell cored high end cards.
That CPU should easily handle a GTX770, my older i5 750@3.4GHz can run a 950/1400 HD7950 at full capacity so I suspect your rig could actually handle a GTX780/R9 290 with minimal restriction.
Oh, and your specs say 'intel certified HSF', if it's the stock item, I'd drop a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo in there as well, you might get a larger OC, it'll certainly be quieter!
