Is the ti really worth it over the 780? I'll be gaming at 1080p. I'd rather not have to spend the extra £100

More about : 780 780ti

If you dont want to spend the extra 100 then I wouldnt worry about it. You'll be able to max out most of the games out there right now with the 780.

Also the 980/970 should be getting announced in a week or 2. Even if you don't get one of those the prices of the 700 series should fall a bit.

Any word on how much they'll cost?

Something like what your looking at it'll probably be out of most peoples price range. It's not worth buying them right when they come out.

The rumors are $500 for the GTX 980 but nothing official, but I wouldn't expect it to be too much more than the GTX 780 it is looking to replace. And like I said it might drop the prices of the 700 series.

I would get the ASUS GTX 780Ti DCUII http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HSY1RVC. The costs of 780Ti have dropped quite a bit lately and if you choose to upgrade later to the 900 series you should be able to sell the 780Ti for almost what you paid for it.
