Hey! I have a pretty high end laptop and for some reason, about 4 days ago, my fps has dropped dramatically. I usually stay at a consistent 60 fps with 1920x1080 screen resolution on high graphics setting. Here are my computer specs:

dv7t-6b00 cto quad edition
16gb of RAM
2 TB hard drive
Intel i7-2820QM CPU @2.30 GHz with turbo boost up to 3.40 GHz
Blu-ray DVD and writer
Display: Intel HD graphics
Display 2: Radeon HD 6770M with 2 gigs dedicated memory (switchable graphics)\

As you can see, My computer is pretty high end! Someone please help. Is it possible that it is just Riot's servers that cause lag and a drop in Frames? Or is something wrong with my comp???

LoL doesn't need much gpu horsepower at all. i would be looking to see if LoL released an update that is causing conflicts. otherwise, use apps like hwmonitor, msi afterburner, and resource center to make sure your cpu and gpu are being utilized correctly.

Hey,

shooting in the dark here a bit but... are you sure when you start the game the dedicated graphics card kicks in? Maybe something in the settings is messed up and the computer keeps using the onboard Intel HD instead?

Make sure you havn't d/l some malware, otherwise the net has been slower recently due to hackers and one of their favourite targets is LoL.

It may also be prudent to check temps. Your laptop may need a dust clean.

@mouldread My setting are good and it uses the Radeon 6770 when I play league.
@Trenchcoat I have had norton anivirus installed on my laptop and it keeps me pretty safe. Haven't had any bad malware that hasn't been instantly detected and removed. Is it possible that I need more thermal paste? Also how can I dust out my laptop without opening it up?

Make sure to check temps via nikoli707's recommendations. As far as dusting, if it's within warranty send it back for cleaning, otherwise you will have to open it up which isn't a problem if it's out of warranty.
