hey guys i want to attempt an overclock and id be glad if you could help me, ill post my pc specs:
-fx 6300
-asus m5a97 evo r2.0
-2x4gb ram 1333mhz
-strike-x 600m psu
-my case has 6 fans excluding the cpu's, so the temps are good even now that its hot here
well so next gen games have arrived and the poor optimization made me think about overclocking my cpu to 4.5ghz since i was on a budget and couldnt afford an intel. i must say my pc has given me a lot of trouble, i bought a low end mobo at first, asrock 980de3 and my curiosity made me enable its automatic overclock feature, which screwed my performance and my pc would lag in every game it ran just fine before so luckily i bought this mobo and it fixed my issue completely, however i want an intel like performance, i've read about this and know more or less the basics, but since im afraid because of my past experience id like to ask you guys what should i do, tell me how to set up every single feature and how to do everything basically, i want to learn and id appreciate a lot your help, heres all you need to know with the stock frequency turbo enabled
