Can Anyone Recognize this CPU cooler?

Yeah that's it definitely. I guess this guy hand painted his cooler or Zalman had a golden version of it? I just saw my friend post a picture of his other friends computer and after being appalled by the horrendous cable management I noticed that very odd cooler.

Also I'm pretty sure that his motherboard is an AM3+ board as my friend said he has an 8320. I'm specifically looking towards it being an Asus board as that green LED light is a staple of their lower-end AMD boards. Also the color scheme of the RAM slots (can barely see the blue and black) suggests a lower-end board as well. The only problem is the position of the LED light. It doesn't match up with any current Asus boards I can find. Most of the green LEDs on the board are directly below the south bridge. This particular motherboard here has the LED located under what seems to be a PCI slot instead of the south bridge. I'm guessing it's an earlier revision of an AM3+ board; possibly an AM3 board who recieved a BIOS update in order to be compatible with an AM3+ CPU.

The case is just out of the question as I looked at every manufacturer I could find but none matched the front grill pattern of the case. Also that back top back part area of the case with grommets for liquid cooling has a big hole; seems to be an older case or one by a chinse or foreign OEM. With the motherboard size and amount of RAM slots present (there are 4; 2 are covered up by the heatsink) the case appears to be a mid-tower.
Only took me about 2 seconds to find out what GPU he had as sapphire suggests an AMD card and that full covered style is reminiscent of Cayman GPUs so I quickly guessed it was a 6950. Also obvious power supply and RAM is obvious. No idea about storage components though but probably a hard drive or two and no SSDs.

Any help in figuring this out is appreciated. My curiosity is killing me so I must know. This is an interesting specimen of a PC.

The motherboard has got to be a discontinued model, it doesn't match anything on the website as far as I can see. I'd investigate further, but I'm going to bed instead.

A few things to watch for, though:
1. Two, possibly three PCI-E x16 slots - one for the vid card, one visible, (possibly) one below the standard PCI slot.
2. The silkscreened "MemOK!" to the RIGHT of what appears to be a white 24-pin power connector (the connector seems to be more "inboard" than I'm used to seeing.) DEFINITELY an Asus board.
3. There seems to be more space than usual to the right of the memory slots.
4. The fan port in the top right corner, to the right of the memory slots, right above a capacitor.
5. The white plastic memory locking levers
6. Is the cooler blocking the view of the chipset? Or is this maybe not an AM3+ board after all? (Some of the component layout that I can see suggests perhaps an Intel board?)

(Also, I don't think the cooler is a gold color, I think it's reflection of the ambient light outside the blue LEDs of the case.)
