I have a Hyper212Evo so cooling shouldn't be a problem, and NO I will not scrap my rig and get an intel rig so please don't leave those comments.

Solution Mac266 Sep 9, 2014 Toss it and get an I5. Just kidding, yes, that will be a nice upgrade, if you can afford it a R9 290 for ~$400 will be a more noticable upgrade.
