Hi,

My power supply has been failing for a long time now and I finally have "enough" for a new one. That new one is a Thermaltake SMART Series 550w. My current power supply is a 600w. I have an FX 6300 at 4.2 ghz and an MSI R9 270 gaming overclocked to 1050 mhz. Would the 50w drop be negligible or should I look at a higher wattage power supply?

Thank you in advance

With shipping and tax that would be well over my already low price cap. Are there any good quality power supplies around $50?

You should not go too cheap on a power supply or your build will not be stable , or safe to run.

What about if it's from a good brand? Like EVGA or Cosair? And what's the lowest price you'd recommend spending?
