Picked up a GTX780 Windforce for $390, wise or not?

Running an i5 4670k
8gb ram
gtx660 sc
650w

Plan to sell my GTX660sc as soon as the new 780 arrives. I've never really used this card before, I see a lot of TI version information on it but the version I got wasn't a TI. Any thoughts?

the 970 beats the 780 in every benchmark I have seen....

Its really a better comparison to look at the 780ti and the 970.

Should be a hell of a step up from my single 660sc ! Can't wait to see how this handles Borderlands the Pre Sequel while recording with maxed settings next month. Im sure it will plow through, would be nice to be able to record and not lag and drop massive frames for a change. :)

Had no idea these 780s were being discontinued! What a jip, while Newegg was shipping it to me I got word it was discontinued and replaced with the GTX 970 and 980 series! And the 970 is effin' cheaper. Been doing some research on it and the specs seem to show the 780 being a little better in some ways, but generally the cards are pretty great and comparable.

Ugh...any recommendations on which card brand to get, I am going to return the 780 for credit and get a 970, but it seems some of the brands arent as reliable as the others.
