Overclocking an ECS a740gm-m

I have an old ECS a740gm-m motherboard and a phenom x3 1.2g chip.
So, I have a few questions.
My bios options are few, main freq and mem voltage.
I have the main frequency from 200 to 208 and it works at 1.97 pretty nice, temps stay down around 40 degrees.
AMD overdrive doesn't recognize it as compatible.
SO, am I maxed out on what to expect from this chip?
If so, will the am3+ 4GHz chip fit and run safely? I have read that the 125w chips are somehow not ok in this old 95w board.
