I recently bought a new GPU mainly to run SC2 at smooth framerates. I ended up getting the EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 750 ti which according to its specs, was more than enough to handle a game like SC2 (benchmark). My other PC specs are fine as well, my old GPU was only lacking quite a bit (nvidia geforce gtx 460) which was why I replaced it recently. So when the card arrived in the mail, I installed it, got the latest drivers, etc. then booted up SC2.. I went into my first game (1v1) extremely disappointed. I can barely see a difference in my FPS, maybe a tiny bit. I now played another game, and the same thing. My FPS will go down to 40, on medium-low settings and with not even that many units on the screen. I asked a few people and they said it doesn't make sense.. they had weaker systems than me and they still pulled better frame rate. I tried messing around with the nvidia control panel, and some other stuff.. didnt really work. One last thing to note which is odd, my SC2 *suggested* graphic settings after installing the new card are set to low... which is odd because my old GPU suggested settings were ULTRA... ? Anyways, help would be appreciated. One thing to note.. the new GPU stays way cooler than the last, which is a plus i guess... anyways here are my PC specs:
GPU: EVGA Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 ti
CPU: Intel Core i5-3470 3.20 GHz
RAM: 8GB DDR3
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

First question to rule out the easy mistake... Is your monitor plugged into the GPU or the motherboard? If its in the motherboard then you are running off the intel integrated graphics and not the new GPU.
