Hello there, I'm new here. I found this website many times when googling pc problems and decided to post here my latest problem, which unfortunately I can't solve.
There is a long story behind my problem, but I make it short. During a thunderstorm my PC got damaged. The mobo and PSU had to be replaced. I bought my PSU one month back so decided to give it back on warranty. The man who repaired my computer changed the mobo. While waiting for a repaired PSU, I used an old one.
The whole time I was using my GeForce GPU. Few days later I got my PSU repaired, but it turned out, that it is now restarting from time to time so I gave it back to repair. One week passed and I got a new PSU. I connected everything, PC boots, but I look at the monitor... It doesn't turn on. There was no "no signal" on screen, the monitor remained in standby mode.
I tried to connect it to televisions I have, changing to an old GPU I have, swapping old PSU back, but without success, every time there was no image on the screen.
Then I gave my computer back to the man who repaired it. He said everything works and even showed me it. After I came back home, of course, it didn't work.
I decided to buy a new monitor with DVI support, old one had only VGA, but video card was DVI with a DVI-VGA adapter I used for many years. I got a new monitor yesterday. It worked for few hours and 2 computer starts. Today I turned on my PC and guess what... Again no image on the monitor.
I'm using now internal graphics. In BIOS graphics boot priority is set to PCI E/Internal. When my video card is plugged in, the internal graphics doesn't work, so I guess the GPU is recognized by the computer.
I have really no idea what can cause this problem. Any thoughts? I know I probably have to give it back to repair, but before that I want to ask you about it.
Many thanks for every answer. I already lost my minds too many times for this!
