I have been having a problem with my Sata HDD for a few months now but its getting worse. I have tried finding a problem like this on other forums but i can't find any information.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 1.5 tb seagate sata HDD that came in a computer i bought second hand. Every second time I turn on the computer it reads data that I have never seen.
I use this hard drive for tv shows and movies but when it loads wrong all that is on the hard drive is ISO files of XBOX games.
The drive is approximately half full of my stuff but when it loads the other data its 98% full.
is it possible that the drive might have been reformatted or badly wiped and sometimes my computer reads these old files?
I just installed a different hard drive with windows 7 ultimate and now its reading the other data a lot more often.
