Help with Windows crashing on Sleep/Shut Down

The problem is pretty much described in the title; whenever I try to shut down my PC or put it into sleep mode, it will crash before that happens. Windows will get as far as the screen saying "Shutting Down" and then after about 2-3 seconds everything stops.

I've looked into this a little already and under the Advanced Tools (within Performance Information and Tools) I have a message saying "Drivers are interfering with Windows entering sleep mode". When I click this, the window that pops up tells me that it's my 'AMD multi-vendor Miniport driver' that's causing the problem.

So I tried to update my drivers which I found were up to date, so I did a rollback on the driver and then reinstalled it just to make sure. I checked the actual hardware to make sure it was seated correctly and everything was plugged in fine, and I'm still getting the error.

I did have a Windows Update a few days ago which may have triggered this issue but I can't do a system restore to before the update since my system crashes when it tries to restart Windows.

Any help would be great!
