Hi I need help deciding between these 2 graphics cards. Both are $220 however the EVGA one has 3gb of gddr5 memmory compared to the 2gb that the MSI one has.

How much of a difference will this make and which card is better?

MSI: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

Thanks in advance!

Do you plan to SLI? If so the 3gb blower version would be a good choice. If not, then go for the MSI.

Um tbh I don't really know what SLI is so most likely a no haha. And could you care to explain why the MSI over the 3gb one? Just wondering since I don't know anything about building computers.

heres my build in case your wondering

SLI is when you join two cards together to get more performance.

The MSI one has the better cooler, so will likely be a little quieter.

Altered your build a bit here, would be quite a bit faster for only $50 more:

Ok thanks a lot for the help. I highly doubt I will SLI so I'll like go for the MSI over the graphics card you selected just because I prefer nvidia due to their software (mostly shadowplay).

Also I'm curious what an extra gb of memory on the EVGA 660 card would even help with? Still going to follow your advice and get the MSI however im just wondering!

I'll probably pickup the intel cpu you recommended. However would this motherboard do instead?

Just because I dont wanna do a mail-in-rebate since there a pain and take a long time and this board is only $55 without a rebate!

Thanks again for all your help

Yeah that one should be fine.

The gtx 660 doesnt really have the power to use 3gb on its own, so not really worth getting.
