Hello , i recently got a Astro A40 2013 neon yellow system. Love the headset...until i recently started to hear a faint talking in the background that turned out to be a radio channel!

This ruins the headset and im desperate to fix this. I use my headset on a windows 8.1 pc using a usb and optical cable into my pc from my mixamp and volume controller cable for my headset to the mixamp.

Sorry if i missed any details that are important.

Solution
Unless you are abnormally close to a large broadcast radio transmitter, I would return the headset.

One less common possible cause is that someone nearby (e.g. neighbor) is using a poor quality wireless transmitter, such as for radios, TVs, and iPods and it is splattering its signal and your headphones happen to be close enough to pick it up. Under international regulations, the person transmitting is responsible for stopping the interference, so must stop using it unless they can solve the problem.

Otherwise the best technical solution available is likely to use a small split-core clip-on ferrite bead. Such as

No i can not , everything is controlled on the mixamp and it is not meant to play radio so there is not anything to tune or turn off that effects the radio ( i still tried every button and dial tho )...except the power of course , but i really like the mix amp and payed a good amount for it.

(intended as example and illustration, not an endorsement of those particular models or vendors).

wrap a 3-5 turns of the cord need the headset end through the bead, and hopefully it will filter (or choke) out the RF interference.
