If I were to plug in my keyboard (USB connection) which has two USB ports on it, then I plugged more USB devices into that, would I lose power on the other USB devices?

More about : usb inside usb

It depends on how much power those devices need, but yes, eventually there would be insufficient power for all of them.

You'll know when that happens when you plug a USB device in and Windows keeps making the "device connected" sound quickly followed by the "device disconnected" sound. That means insufficient power available for that device.

You can fix that problem by buying a mains-powered external USB hub like this quality one that I use:

More than likely the USB ports on the keyboard are going to be limited in terms of Amperage, the manual will probably tell you the specifics.

I'v had a keyboard in the past that only supported 0.2A on its USB ports, which is pretty low, USB flash drives wouldnt work on those. So dont have it be a massive consideration when deciding between keyboards.

Depends on how much power the keyboard can output to the USB devices.
