If your PSU doesn't have enough connectors then its not strong enough to run the graphics card.

What make and model PSU and graphics card?

Your PSU has 3 - 216 watt 12 volt rails and 1 - 9.6 watt rail not ideal. Like i7baby mentioned which video card you have will help guide you in the right direction and would be best most likely with a PSU upgrade from tier 1 or 2 from the following list. http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su...

I recommend a good quality power supply from tiers 1, 2a or 2b of http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-su....

Yours is from tier 3. A gtx760 only needs a 500W power supply so yours should be OK even if its not real good quality.

You should have 2 x 6+2 pin pcie power connectors that you can use from your power supply per http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_000...

A GTX760 needs 2 x 6pins per http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...

So you should be right. Use the two 6+2 pin connectors - just the 6 pin part of each.

That card would push the limit on 1 of those rails 170 watt of the 216 and you would be best suited to use the link I posted above and find yourself a good 500 or 550 watt PSU from tier 1 or 2 especially if you plan on OCing since you do have an unlocked CPU.

The spec says one 12V rail of 44A. So it should be fine. Though, according to RealHardTech, the power supply hasn't been certified and is made by SolyTech (never heard of them) and there's no reviews on it. So I wouldn't bet it's real flash. But it should do till the OP can save up to get something better.

thanks, i will definitely start saving up for a better PSU. howcome using molex adapters is not a good thing?
btw, i would have used the 6 pin connection for my gpu but my mobo requires a 6pin connection for pci-e

Your motherboard should only require the 24 pin Main Power and 8 (4+4) ATX pin connectors.

My motherboard has a 6pin power connector as well. "to provide power to the graphics card". is this connection not necessary?

Read your mobo manual. If so, then you better get a better psu - with at least 3 pcie connectors.

Usually the pcie slots only provide 75W and the 8pin ATX connectors does that.
