so they only play the background music such as in games but not voices, explosions, gunfire and everything else?

it sound like you have your sound volume muted or turned off in game for the one. check your in game settings.

if thats not it... you need to be much more specific as what you asked was very vague and hard to figure out what you wanted.

i'm assuming here that you have regular headphones and not a usb "headset"....

-make sure that you have your headphones plugged into the green headphone jack. make sure it is seated firmly.
-enter your windows sound playback devices. make sure that sound is set to "stereo" and not surround sound.
-check your equalizer to make sure it is flat or doesnt have high tones subdued.

if that doesnt work...

-try the headphones out on a different device. do they work?
-try a different port on your computer (try the front ports and the rear ports for headphone)
-reinstall your audio drivers

that did not worked and the headphone works on my android tablet if connecting to the rare port it gives some very loud bussing sound and if in the front you know what is the problem and i have also tried reinstalling the drivers.

there may be something wrong with the onboard sound for your computer then.

you might want to try a soundcard.

the cheapest version would be a usb version meant for headphones which costs about $5-10 and is the size of a large flashdrive.
