I can't install Ubuntu in my HP laptop. It says the screen graphics card and input devices cannot be identified. Somebody please help me.
What HP laptop? If it is relatively old, there is a chance that the driver modules are not readily available in the Ubuntu 14.04 distro, and you may either need a custom kernel or a specific kernel module.
My laptop is HP Pavilion 15e-034tx
. It has 4gb ram, 500 GB HD, 1 GB amd graphics and it runs on an Intel i5 4th generation processor.
Isn't it a good configuration to run Ubuntu 14.04

From what I read, the current driver that ships with the Ubuntu 14.04 installer does not support the graphics chipset in that laptop (radeon 8670m hd). People suggest you do a text-based installation, then follow a guide to install the AMD beta driver.
