Yes, you can mix RAM density. You can match as 4GB stick with a 512MB stick if you wanted to. It looks like those sticks of RAM you mentioned are DDR2. You just need to make sure that whatever you purchase to match is also DDR2.
Here is a Newegg link to their supply of DDR2 desktop memory: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

Yes you can, but people always recommend using 2 sticks of the same make/size/speed etc. So both sticks get fair usage

1) Ive got one 1gb RAM stick and 3x 512mb RAM sticks and ive got 4 slots and I don't know if I can just shove em all in they are all the same frequency and all ddr2 also I have 4x 512mb ddr2 is it better if I just put them in instead of adding the 1gb
2)bought a 2gb pc2-6400 ram DDR2... And i already have a 1gb pc2-5300 DDR2 ram. And my question is can i use these both simultaneously in different slots ? My chipset : Quote:Northbridge Intel P35/G33/G31 rev. 10 Southbridge Intel 82801GB (ICH7/R) rev. A1 CPU : Intel Pen...
