Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

Use vlc media player to play the files: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html

If you want to open the files using WMP then you will need the proper codecs. K-lite codec pack: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm I use the full version myself since it includes media player classic.

PS: If you plan to use VLC, the k-lite codec pack is not neccesary. If you don't want to use VLC then the k-lite pack should do the job for you. If the file still does not load in WMP, then use the media player classic that comes with the codec pack.
