AMD FX 6300 Questions

Hello, i am using an AMD FX 6300 and an ASRock 980DE3-u3s3, i know its a low end motherboard but i put mofset heatsinks and all that on it, but im having some issues with voltage what voltage would you reccomend for 4.2 ghz?

That board shouldn't be used for overclocking.

Only overclock without raising the voltage on that board. Leave voltage at stock/auto and overclock as high as you can. Check to see with prime95 small ffts one hour

If you raise the voltage to higher than stock levels i guarantee it will break sooner or later.

I didnt i lowered the OC though, by the way how high could i raise the frequency on stock voltage?

It will heat up when you raise the voltage be careful.

I know, im running prime95 and it seems like its doing good, i know alot about computers and heat but im fairly new to ocing

temperatures on the mobo mosfets aren't always shown on all motherboards. CPU temperature is more or less irrelevant in your case. Motherboard vrm temperature is what i'm worried about even without raising the volts

I'm using that CPU now overclocked to 4.4Ghz on stock voltages with my temps being 25 idle and about mid 50's while gaming
