Hello,

I'm looking for some replacements of my old cpu and motherboard (Athlon II x4 635 and Gigabyte GA-MA785GT-UD3H). My budget is around 150 euro.
So after a bit of searching I found this, AMD FX-6300 3.50GHz 6MB AM3+ and ASRock ATX Moederbord 970 Pro3 R2.0.
My question is will they be compatible with eachother and did I make a good choice for the money im spending?
Maybe give me some advice what I should buy.

I'm running a Radeon HD 6870, 4 GBs RAM 1333MHz.

Yes they are compatable. It's a very good combination. I would maybe upgrade your video card to a 270-270x and upgrade the Ram to 8GB.

Thanks for your reply, Im going to upgrade the other components aswell when I get the money for it, but I think replacing motherboard and cpu will give me the best performance boost for now?

I think a athlon x4 750k with a coolermaster 212 hyper evo and a overclockable mb is the perfect build....

Im not really a person who wants to overclock his equipment, because Im not experienced in doing it and prefer to run on some stock components.

Yeah its good to build the base before adding the other parts. You'll be very happy with the processor.

You see im not very known with stuff like this. From your reaction I can tell the fx is made for overclocking or do you mean the fx is oke for me?
If I want just to roll with stock can you maybe give me some other options that give me a nice performance boost?:)

What about AMD FX-6350 3.90GHz 8MB AM3+ Box it only costs 15 more euro than the other one I posted earlier. Is it worth the few more euro or?
